The A Frame Pavillion designed by Chris Eckersley and manufactured here at Sitting Firm workshops.

Chris's design of the A-Frame Garden pavilion made from Western Red Cedar and a Shingle roof creates a subtle beautiful structure for any outside area.

Dimensions: 3.95m high x 2.8m x 2.8m
No need for planning permission and in most cases can be supplied fully insulated.
Constructed to cabinet-making standards in FSC Western Red Cedar with Cedar shingle roof.
Fitted with sealed double-glazed doors and windows.
Metalwork in a choice of colours
Additional insulation and double skin will panels available to suit use - eg for home, office

The idea was how fast you could put all the components of a child's chair together, with a total of
23 pieces this was a challenge!

It really wasn't as easy as it looked and confirmed that our highly skilled craftsmen are really the best in their field.

Based in the heart of England 10 fellow designers will once again take an adventure out of the studio and into the workshops. This time to the wonderful world of SittingFirm where modern technology can be found, this time to aid in designing and making more intricate & modern designs for the Windsor chair, but still based upon the traditions of old.

Between the 9th & 11th June these designers will be placed with a team of specialists in the SittingFirm workshops, learning techniques and craftsmanship that SittingFirm are proud to own.

With collaboration with SittingFirm the 10 chairs created within this time will go head to head with each other with the wining chair design being placed into production and marketed by SittingFirm and with the possibility of even being launched later this year at various design shows.

Amos Marchant, Carl Clerkin, Chris Eckersley, Dave Green, Gareth Neal, Gitta Gschwendtner,, Rory Dodd, Suzanne Barnes, William Warren .

		As nine designers took an adventure out of the studio and into the remote, rustic but natural Clisset woods, 9 original Windsor style chairs were born... The chairs are now off to the renowned Furniture Show in Milan with Gudrun Leitz's very own design to be shown as part of Designersblock.

Beautifully Handcrafted English Furniture
Bodging Milano Our very own founder Dave Green has signed up for a weeks course in the heart of Herefordshire to go back to basics with Gudrun Leitz & her greenwood chair workshop. Between the 30th March & 5th April, 10 designers will be going back to basics using hand tools, steam benders and pole lathes. With collaboration with Designersblock the 10 chairs created at the workshop will go on show at the Milan Furniture Fair in Milan during April, with the possibility of one going into production with Sitting Firm.
